Gregory House

Many people don’t like this show because Dr. House can be very rude, mean and nasty. I have watched this show for many years and have really enjoyed watching House heal people. The only reason I watch House is because of Greg, you just never know what he’s going to do next. I think I also enjoy watching it because of the cases he attends. If he was just doing any other doctors job and acting rude I wouldn’t watch the show. 

House’s job makes the show much more entertaining and it makes House easier to understand. Of course, he's not an angry person because of his job and he may not be an angry person at all. I think if House is angry or being mean it’s only so he can do his job. He needs to think that nobody who comes to him is being honest, he needs to be mad at everyone he comes in contact with and he needs to be upfront and confrontational.

Why do I say this about House when I would never agree with it in any other circumstance? Because this is how House does his job. If House got close to everyone he had to treat, was nice to everyone and believed nobody was dishonest with him he wouldn’t be able to properly find out what is wrong with them. People lie about things all the time, it is human nature and House needs to draw the truth out of them no matter how hard it is for them to do. House also needs to keep himself separated from everyone because I think it will jeopardize his work. How could he be rude and mean and pull the awful truth out of everyone if everytime he turns around he has to be sweet and kind to everyone else?

House nitpicks everyone and trys to figure them out. Usually he goes way too far while doing this but this is also related to who House is and what his job is. This is also a big part of the show. The producers always make sure there is someone for House to nitpick and try to figure out. They always have some kind of secret for House to figure out. When House can’t figure out what is going on with someone he gets in a mood and will do absolutely anything to figure it out. When House runs out of secrets to figure out from the people who are “close” to him the producers toss in a character or two. Usually these characters don’t stay for long though because House just chases them off.
