Lucy Vodden

Lucy Vodden is very ill from battling lupus.  Lucy is the childhood friend of Julian Lennon, the late John Lennon's son.  She was the inspiration for the famous Beatles song "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds".  Luccy and John went to school together, lost touch with each other and just recently became friends again.

"Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" is one of my favourite songs but I haven’t heard it in a while.  I thought it was very interesting to know who the woman behind the song was. I never really realized the song was about anyone from the Beatle's past life.

There is a lot of controversy about the song, "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds".  It is said to be associated with the psychedelic drug, LSD.  I have heard the rumor and believe that a lot of the Beatles songs had to do with drugs. That was just the age and time that the Beatles were a part of.

I loved all the Beatles songs because they were very interesting and very different. "Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band" and "Yesterday" were my absolute favourite songs. They were such upbeat, interesting songs. I think these were the best songs they ever did.

Another awesome hub, keep up the good work. I was born right in the Beatles era so I kind of missed being a Beatles fan, but I do like their music.

I understand what you mean by missing the Beatles era but I don't think you really need to be born before that era to really enjoy it. You can always enjoy the band at home, I think it's better to enjoy a band in your home than being at a concert where you can't hear half of what the band was singing. Thanks mom!

No problem sweetie, and yeah I prefer to listen to concerts on tv or over the internet for that precise reason. I remember going to a Tom Cochrane and Bob Seger concerts and couldn't hear a word at both of them.

Wow who knew it always takes a person to die to know things like this why don't we know when it happens? It would been nice to know when it first came out instead of assuming it was a drug of some sort he was supposidly singing about.
